Yahoo Widgets, the Countdown Timer, and Parkinson's Law

I've only recently discovered Yahoo Widgets. The generic countdown timer is especially useful. I'm working on a difficult discussion section of a paper, and I've decided to allow myself only ten minutes to edit each paragraph with a big orange countdown timer widget in the corner of the screen. Very effective at enhancing focus by using Parkinson's law. More on this later.
